Assistant Coordinator-Congregate Site Dining Club in Kissimmee, Florida at Osceola County Council On Aging, Inc.

Responsible for assisting the congregate (dining club) meal site coordinators and supervisor. This position requires the ability to work under direction within the established rules, regulations, and procedures.

1) Assist with congregate meal reservations,

2) Prepare meal site for site activities by arranging tables & decorations

3) Assist with client issues or emergencies.

4) Make recommendations for any recreation or educational programs.

5) Assist in the preparation of reports

6) Attend all training sessions and meeting as scheduled.

7) Follow all policies and procedures of the Osceola Council on Aging.

8) Other duties as assigned, to include assisting in times of disaster as needed.

HOURS OF WORK: Part-time as needed – office open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, flex-time with supervisor's approval or based on departmental needs. May require some evening, holiday or weekend hours for special projects. Additionally, the employee must be able to work off-site at any of the locations in the Planning and Service Area.

Fluent in English and Spanish

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read and write, carry out

written and verbal instructions and complete required reports.

Experience: Previous supervisory experience and food service & activities are preferred. Experience working with seniors is essential. Must have a valid Florida Driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and

organizational skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of groups and individuals.

Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Sufficient skills to be able to read and write effectively.

Essential Mental Abilities: Knowledgeable and competent to perform all essential functions.

Essential Sensory Requirements: Ability to visually and audibly perform all essential functions.

Essential Physical requirements: Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility and the

community, have corrected vision and hearing to the normal range. This position may require occasional bending and lifting subject to specific physical requirements and working conditions as listed in job duties.
