As a member of the surgical team in the General Operating Room, the CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.
