About This Position

Description:

NetCentrics is seeking a full-time AV / VTC Applications Engineer to support mission-critical operations at the Pentagon. This on-site role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and is responsible for the design, integration, implementation, and sustainment of advanced Audio-Visual (AV) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across AV/VTC system design, networking integration, system programming, and end-user training, supporting environments ranging from small conference rooms to enterprise-level installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to assess customer requirements for AV/VTC systems, including development of bills of materials (BOMs), cost estimates, and technical documentation
  • Design and implement AV/VTC solutions for small, medium, and enterprise-level environments, including room integrations, networking projects, and audio/video bridging solutions
  • Develop, modify, and implement technical procedures to address complex system requirements and operational challenges
  • Evaluate, design, document, install, configure, test, maintain, upgrade, and decommission AV and VTC systems
  • Perform limited system programming and configuration to support integrated AV/VTC solutions
  • Provide technical consulting and subject-matter expertise on AV/VTC controls, interfaces, and system functionality
  • Train end users on the proper operation and functionality of AV/VTC systems
  • Test equipment performance and troubleshoot issues; coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems

Technical Expertise:

Experience with the design, installation, service, and support of:

  • Projection systems (DLP, LCD, CRT)
  • Displays (monitors, plasma displays)
  • Audio systems and sound reinforcement
  • Control systems and user interfaces
  • Switchers, distribution amplifiers, and scalers
  • Smart boards and collaboration tools
  • Video conferencing platforms and endpoints

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD-sponsored Secret (minimum) or Higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • High School Diploma with at least 1 year of college coursework in Computer Science, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of AV/VTC system design, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team in secure environments

  • Cisco Engineer Certification (CCIE)
  • InfoComm Basic Certification
  • Crestron Certified Programmer
  • InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
  • CTS-D (AV System Design Specialization)
  • CTS-I (AV System Installation Specialization)
  • Biamp Tesira Certification
  • Q-SYS Level 1 and Level 2 Certification
  • Cisco Collaboration Expert or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
  • Polycom Certified Video Conferencing Engineer (PCVE)
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification
