AV Field Engineer
Position Overview:
The AV Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex Audio-Visual (AV) systems at client sites. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge of AV integration, control systems, networking, and field service support. The AV Field Engineer will work closely with project managers, design engineers, and clients to ensure that systems are delivered, installed, and commissioned to specification and quality standards.Responsibilities:
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
Position Overview:
The AV Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex Audio-Visual (AV) systems at client sites. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge of AV integration, control systems, networking, and field service support. The AV Field Engineer will work closely with project managers, design engineers, and clients to ensure that systems are delivered, installed, and commissioned to specification and quality standards.Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
- Perform system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure full functionality and performance to design specifications.
- Read and interpret AV system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Work with IT and networking teams to integrate AV systems into enterprise networks.
- Support project managers during implementation phases by providing technical expertise and field feedback.
- Conduct on-site system diagnostics and resolve hardware, cabling, and software configuration issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service calls on installed systems.
- Provide client training, documentation, and post-installation support.
- Maintain accurate installation records, equipment inventories, and field reports.
- Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards.
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
