SUMMARY
Reporting to the Development Management team, the Intern will learn firsthand the business of Commercial Development. This unique opportunity provides a ground up view of the workings of commercial development. You will apply your academic/work experiences using today’s practical approach to industry standards. AREAS OF FOCUS & ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Understanding the fundamentals or modeling aspects of development and acquisition projects including, feasibility, investment returns, project budgets, and operating pro-formulas
- Basic reporting in areas of income and expense, financial structuring options, and feasibility analysis
- Transaction activity and trends
- Financial market trends
- Reviewing project
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Undergraduate studies in business, engineering, or construction preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of formal training/education preferred
- Planning and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
- Positive leadership characteristics and team player with the ability to foster good working relationships at every level of an organization, both internally and externally
