Pharmacist Position Summary
To actively coordinate, on a day-to day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to the patients of TidalHealth, in compliance with federal and state legal, regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. This includes: (1) involvement with multiple drug distribution functions (inclusive of computerized order entry and/or verification of physicians’ orders, IV admixture preparation, etc.): (2) defined clinical/cognitive activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes (primarily via decentralized processes in the patient care areas) under the aegis of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee: (3) educational activities with pharmacist colleagues and other health care professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, etc.) to maintain and advance clinical competency vis-à-vis drug therapy; and, (4) “supervisory” functions while providing professional oversight of technicians drug preparation and distribution activities.
Pharmacist Position Requirements
Education
- B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD. graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current pharmacy licensure or eligibility in the state in which they will work.
Experience
- 6 Months to one year.
