Position OverviewThe Senior Manager, Planning & Lighting Services supports the successful delivery of Evari’s contracted services, with primary responsibility for managing project execution, operational performance, and technical quality across lighting and related projects and programs.This role focuses on day-to-day delivery leadership, team coordination, and client service, while developing broader practice leadership skills. Lighting services remain a core focus area, with opportunities to support GIS-enabled planning and infrastructure programs.Working closely with executive leadership and senior technical staff, this individual will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to high professional standards.This position is ideal for an experienced professional ready to take the next step into senior operational leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project DeliveryManage day-to-day operations for assigned contracts and programsSupport delivery of lighting, infrastructure, and GIS-enabled projectsCoordinate staffing, schedules, and resourcesTrack project performance, budgets, and timelinesSupport quality control and technical review of deliverablesImplement and improve delivery workflows and processesProject & Program ManagementServe as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on select projectsSupport scope, schedule, and budget managementLead small to mid-sized multidisciplinary project teamsCoordinate field, technical, and analytical staffPrepare and review reports, plans, and client deliverablesLighting & Technical SupportSupport development and implementation of lighting master plans and auditsApply relevant lighting standards and best practicesAssist with photometric modeling and field data collectionSupport digital twin and asset management toolsClient EngagementMaintain regular communication with assigned clientsParticipate in client meetings, briefings, and presentationsSupport client satisfaction and contract complianceAssist in identifying follow-on work opportunitiesTeam LeadershipSupervise and mentor junior staffSupport staff training and professional developmentFoster a collaborative and accountable team environmentBusiness Development SupportAssist with proposal development and cost estimatingSupport staffing and delivery planning for pursuitsContribute to client outreach and relationship building
QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, geography, or related field5–7 years of experience in lighting, infrastructure consulting, GIS-supported planning, or related professional servicesExperience supporting project and contract managementDemonstrated ability to lead project teamsFamiliarity with public-sector consulting environmentsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesPreferredAdvanced certification (AICP, GISP, PE, LC)Experience with GIS, municipal/utility asset management, or other digital platformsPrior municipal or utility consulting experienceInterest in long-term leadership development
CompensationExempt salary bi-weekly pay equivalent to $115,000 - $135,000 annually.
