About This Position
This position is responsible for sourcing equipment appropriate for projects within PHFM and maintaining accurate tracking procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Source vendors to provide contracted landscaping, snow removal, sweeping, and pressure washing services. Compare prices to obtain best value. Pursue the most profitable course in line with business objectives.
· Source new vendors in emerging markets and areas of need. Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
· Must be comfortable using different methods of communication. Phone calls, texting, and email.
· Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
· Must be able to work after hours on an call rotation during winter season
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be able to work directly with other departments to ensure vendors meet insurance requirements.
· Meet customer start date deadlines to assure contracted services start on time.
· Experience with data-entry, database management, Microsoft products.
· Must be self-motivated and able to succeed with little supervision.
· Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with an ever-changing environment.
· Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
· Technologically proficient. Basic understanding of phone, tablet, and PC.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in an exterior services procurement environment preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills necessary
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position works in an environment with moderate noise level. (Examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as telephone. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to read and understand work instructions.
