Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting the Machine Operators by tending Card feedboxes, doffing frames and assisting in coning with labeling / packaging.
2nd Shift: 2pm - 10:15pm, Monday to Friday
$17.50/hr
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment including hearing and eye protection.
- Tend the Card (machine) feedboxes by filling them with fiber.
- Assist operator by removing full bobbins and replacing them with empty bobbins.
- Assist operator weighing cart and recording data.
- Assist in coning by labeling and palletizing cones.
- Keep the work area neat and organized.
- Complete work within expected time frame of production job.
- Communicate daily with the Supervisor regarding any issues or concerns.
- Identify quality issues both incoming to the operation and created by the operation.
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Basic math skills required.
- Flexibility to work overtime as requested and a varied shift as business needs arise.
- Dependability and punctuality a must.
Education & Experience
- Willing to learn.
- Experience or knowledge of manufacturing industry a plus.
