About This Position
Summary:
An Architect III is a licensed architect with diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices who plans and develops complex projects of all sizes under minimal supervision. In addition an Architect III executes and coordinates projects, and may oversee a staff of architects and technicians. This position reports directly to the Principal of the Practice Area.
Duties:
• Participates in conceptual designs and provides full support through entire projects
• Plans and develops complex architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration.
• Liaises with Project Management, other architects, and consultants
• Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects
• Coordinates with Principal and Principal-In-Charge on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies
• May oversee a staff of architects and technicians
• Provides professional consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects
Required Skills/Abilities:
• General understanding of engineering principles
• Problem-solving ability when encountered
• Excellent design and artistic skills
• Creative and innovative mindset
• Strong communication skills with regards to consultants, contractors, project managers, and supervisors
• Exceptional visualization to bring ideas and pictures to life
• Team-oriented
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Revit (preferred).
• Ability to track and monitor project budgets for each phase of the design
Education:
• Professional Degree in Architecture
• Architectural license required
• Minimum (8) years’ experience
