Job Title: Associate Underwriter

Job Title: Personal Lines Underwriting Associate

Local Insurance Company seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative person to fill the role of Personal Lines Underwriting Associate. In this role, you will work closely with your internal team, agents and other departments to review applications, assess applicable risk factors, and contribute to timely, well-informed underwriting decisions.

What You’ll Do:

· Review personal lines applications for auto and homeowners coverage

· Apply underwriting guidelines to make appropriate decisions individually and with your team

· Partner with agents and internal teams to gather information and resolve questions

· Provide clear, timely communication to support an industry leading customer experience

· Hybrid office and work from home (3/2, 4/1)

What We’re Looking For:

· Enjoy use of critical thinking to solve problems and communicate effectively

· A team-oriented mindset with the a desire to collaborate

· Confidence in making decisions and provide written explanations of them

· Ability to manage incoming tasks along with consistent follow through of work on diary

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems

Nice to Have (Not Required):

· Prior customer service or office experience

· Interest in insurance or financial services

· Bachelors degree, Utah insurance license, CPCU or other significant insurance designation
