About This Position
Primary Function:
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across HR initiatives, including compensation administration, compliance monitoring, and employee engagement activities. This role assists in facilitating programs that enhance the employee experience and ensures timely communication of matters requiring action or intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager of Human Resources with items needing support.
- Support the creation and implementation of policies, procedures and practices within the organization.
- Assists with all internal and external HR related inquiries/requests.
- Coordinate Teammate appreciation events.
- Coordinate the development of individual performance plans to drive excellence within our internal talent pool.
- Create and deliver HR content within internal meeting structures.
- Prepare required reports on time as scheduled.
- Reviews, monitors and reports on market trends to ensure that Prospira is competitive with total compensation packages
- Supports the creation of cultural activities/programs that drive the business forward towards a culture of “Creating Value and Sharing Happiness Together.”
- Prepare correspondence as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or relevant human resources/ administrative position. OR Minimum of three years experience in direct Human Resources.
- Knowledge of HR processes and best practices
- Strong ability in using MS Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or HR; or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in a progressive manufacturing HR environment preferred.
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Full time position
- Must work in a professional and courteous manner with coworkers
- Open to work in a diverse work environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
