Job Description
Parts Specialist
Reports To: General Manager or Sales & Operations Manager
Position Type: Full-Time | Hourly + Monthly Bonus
Position Overview
Parts Specialists are the frontline of the parts retail experience. They combine consultative selling with strong product knowledge to help customers identify the right parts, accessories, and supplies for their trailers, equipment, or projects. This role requires accuracy, urgency, and a genuine commitment to service—while also maintaining the operational responsibilities necessary to keep the parts department organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Deliver consultative, high-quality counter sales that help customers solve problems and complete projects correctly
- Recommend companion products that improve outcomes and increase ticket value
- Create accurate tickets, handle payment, prepare quotes, and follow up on open orders
- Support phone customers with product knowledge and parts identification
Operational Responsibilities
- Stock incoming freight, rotate inventory, and maintain correct bin locations
- Assist with labeling, tagging, and merchandising shelves
- Support cycle counts and inventory corrections
- Help maintain a clean, organized, easily shoppable parts department
Service Collaboration
- Pull and stage parts for repair orders
- Assist technicians with part identification and sourcing
Preferred Experience
- Experience in RV, power sports, automotive parts retail, heavy equipment, or farm supply
- Familiarity with suspension parts, brakes, electrical components, wheels/tires, and cargo-control products
- Experience working from exploded diagrams, fitment guides, or vendor catalogs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong customer communication and sales skills
- Ability to learn technical product knowledge quickly
- Comfort working in busy environments with constant customer interaction
- Reliable, organized, and detail oriented
