LOCATION:
Candidates located in the Northeast U.S. are strongly preferred; qualified applicants along the East Coast will also be considered.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Earn a starting base salary of $130,000-$160,000 DOE with performance-based incentives and commission that can bring total compensation to $200,000+, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
Achieve sales quotas and objectives for the Fiscal year set by corporate management and sales leadership. Increase DDL market share by targeting underdeveloped regions, expanding existing client relationships and identifying new clients within the Life Science industry and other potential markets.
For the Medical Device business, the primary emphasis is to increase new customer base and grow Strategic accounts with support from Director of Sales. Concentrate on selling the complete suite of DDL solutions and position DDL as a ‘preferred supplier’ with new and Strategic customers. Seeking ramp up growth in the pharmaceutical / GMP testing service side of the business. DDL’s GMP lab is a new capability poised for high growth potential.
Monitor “voice of customer” and industry trends including but not limited to the regulatory environment, the competitive landscape, client test requirements and other market dynamics which could impact DDL’s business.
This position will be the ambassador for promoting and driving new services to support DDL growth initiatives.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities with new and existing clients. Within the existing client base, efforts will be focused on cross selling testing in which they do not utilize DDL currently and identifying new sites within Strategic account base.
- Partner with Sales Engineering and Department staff to fulfill client needs, increase quoting volume and advance deals through the sales cycle for both depts. Initial driver of incoming new leads.
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients to gain alignment on project scope, commitments and course of business. Focus on selling large deals by promoting programs utilizing DDL’s full suite of capabilities.
- Work with Director of Sales to provide sales forecasts and sales reporting as needed.
- Manage and maintain the sales pipeline (CRM) within Director of Sales’ expectations.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Sales support to develop and execute prospecting campaigns.
- Attend tradeshows, promote onsite tours and develop travel plans for external customer visits.
- With the Director of Sales, analyze sales data to determine where to focus extra efforts within the Strategic account base.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Biomedical, Biology or other related scientific field.
- 5+ years of sales experience within the Life Science / Healthcare industry in the contract lab testing space.
- Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce (or other CRM system) required.
- Preferred to have formal sales and/or negotiation training.
