Description:

About KorTerra

KorTerra, Inc. is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company built on a straightforward mission: prevent damage, protect underground infrastructure, and help save lives. Over the past five years, we have doubled in size by delivering technology that gives utilities, telecommunications companies, contractors, and municipalities a better way to manage and document 811 ticket workflows. We are proud of the culture we have built. At KorTerra, self-motivated people who are curious and committed to continuous improvement will find real opportunities for career growth. We also recognize that success does not happen at the expense of everything else. We value family, balance, and flexibility, and we work hard to create an environment where people can succeed professionally and personally.

About You

KorTerra is looking for a motivated, results-oriented National Account Executive to join our growing Sales team. This role is built for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by solving meaningful problems for clients. You bring genuine curiosity to every client conversation. You listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and go beyond the surface to understand how prospects and clients actually operate today. You are skilled at uncovering efficiencies, risks, and opportunities that most salespeople miss.

Through structured discovery, you connect symptoms to root causes. You help prospects quantify the impact of their current processes and see the path to measurable improvement. You are comfortable asking challenging questions that prompt new ways of thinking. You do not just sell. You diagnose, teach, and partner with clients to help them get to a better place. You bring a consultative mindset and a strong desire to keep improving your craft.

At KorTerra, we invest in your development through proven methodologies, including Neil Rackham's SPIN Selling framework and concepts from The Challenger Sale. You will be equipped to master Situation, Problem, Implication, and Need-Payoff questioning, and to become a commercial teacher who brings insight and perspective to every interaction.

What You'll Get to Do

  • Drive prospecting efforts across a multi-state sales territory to identify and engage new business opportunities.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of strategic accounts from initial outreach through close.
  • Lead a consultative, insight-driven sales process by conducting deep discovery, identifying operational challenges, uncovering implications of current processes, and helping prospects quantify the value of changing how they work.
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations that connect KorTerra's solutions to measurable client outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Operations, IT, and Executive leadership.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and give prospects new perspectives on damage prevention and operational efficiency.
  • Close sales by building trust, aligning solutions to client needs, and navigating objections effectively.
  • Partner with existing clients to expand relationships through new products and applications.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients on product updates, enhancements, and new offerings.
  • Represent KorTerra at regional and national industry events, conferences, and tradeshows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share market insights, client feedback, and product opportunities.
  • Stay current on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs.
  • Develop your sales expertise continuously through training, coaching, and hands-on experience.
  • Contribute to team success and company growth through collaboration and shared accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in managing full-cycle new business sales
  • Proven ability to conduct effective discoveries through active listening and strategic questioning
  • Ability to uncover and clearly articulate customer pain, business impact, and financial value
  • Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences
  • Experience engaging stakeholders at all levels, including Operations, IT, Directors, and C-level executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in SaaS or Software Sales (preferred)
  • Experience in Damage Prevention, Risk Management, or related industries (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
