Job Location: Central Office, 830 MoDOT Drive, Jefferson City, MO
A remote work location may be considered at an available MoDOT facility.
This position may be filled at one of the three levels based on knowledge, skills, and abilities. The entry salary is posted above, with the intermediate starting salary of $56,712.48, and a senior starting salary of $61,249.44.

What you’ll do:
- Supports maintenance staff in developing and revising maintenance policies, and Engineering Policy Guide procedures and guidelines relating to roadsides, state fair activities, work release supervision, homeless encampments, litter removal programs (Sponsor A Highway, Keeping MO Beautiful, No More Trash) and assisting with the statewide equipment sharing.
- Assists in the analysis and preparation of maintenance related reports, maintenance contracts, benefit cost analysis, correspondence, records, presentations, and assists with managing the Maintenance Leadership Academy (MLA), Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA) program, innovations, pilot programs, and MoDOT EOC.
- Leads organizations effort in structuring agreements with Mo. Dept. of Conservation for Chronic Waste Disease (CWD) needs, and schedule MoDOT’s participations with Earth Day events.
- Participation with the Work Zone Quality Circle Team and Statewide Work Zone Management of Traffic (Interstate Corridor Team). This will include statewide annual work zone reviews.
- Supports the preparation of plans, TMA transition plan, Telematics (Geotab) and adoption of acres into CCAA program. Duties will also include serving as a trainer “fill in” for districts when the material relates to roadsides and MLA.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field. OR
- Six years of highway maintenance operations experience
Special Working Conditions:
- Job requires exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment.
- Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials.
