Salary Range - $38.00 -$48.00 an hour (commensurate with relevant experience)
Position Description:
BlackSea Technologies is hiring an administrator for our Engineering Change / Configuration Management program. The Engineering Change Administrator will work with multidisciplinary teams to gather, store, and update documentation during the development and implementation of changes. The Engineering Change Administrator will enter and maintain data from Engineering Change Packages (ECPs) into our configuration management tracking systems, identify documents affected and products affected, pursue missing information to fully complete required forms with required data, send follow-up reminders to personnel to complete their required portions of the ECP, track the status of all ECPs, and send status reports to program and change management leads. They will also be responsible for ensuring the documentation that has been submitted for engineering changes is complete and accurate - serving as a signoff authority in the Product Lifecycle Management system.
This role will also support audit processes of as-built systems to ensure accuracy and quality of the Production Baseline, and identify opportunities for specific or systemic improvements, and propose them to stakeholders.
Requirements:Required Skills/Experience
-Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, engineering technology, or similar) and 3 to 8 years of experience in configuration management, manufacturing engineering support, drafting/CAD, production, or test environments
(or)
-High School Diploma and 8 to 15 years of experience in a machine shop or production environment, working with engineers and designers producing drawings, drafting/CAD, Bills of Materials, and Configuration Management
-Hands-on experience working with released drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation in a controlled environment
-Ability to identify missing, inconsistent, or unclear information in engineering documentation and drive resolution with responsible stakeholders
-Comfort working with and constructively challenging inputs from multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineering personnel
-Ability to determine and trace the impact of changes across parts, assemblies, documents, and system configurations
-Familiarity with engineering change processes and the downstream impact of design changes on manufacturing and testing
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and follow through to closure
-Clear written and verbal communication skills in a technical environment
-Attention to detail and a drive to push tasks to completion.
Desired Skills/Experience
-Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., Aras Innovator or similar)
-Participation in Engineering Change Boards (ECB/CCB) or formal release processes
-Familiarity with revision control, part numbering schemes, and configuration baselines
-Exposure to CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and engineering release workflows
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Sharepoint.
