Litigation Trial Attorney - Subrogation Practice MA (Remote) at Derrevere Stevens Black & Cozad – Boston, Massachusetts

Derrevere Stevens Black & Cozad a nationwide law firm with offices in New England, is currently seeking a talented litigation attorney to join the New England Regional Division of our firm's Subrogation Practice Group. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and promises a vibrant, fast-paced and enjoyable work environment.

As a litigation attorney with our firm, you will have the exciting opportunity to handle a variety of tasks, including intake, review, actively handling all aspects of discovery, mediation, trial and management of upward of hundreds of claims annually, with the vast majority involving property damage losses, ranging from a few thousand dollars to millions.

Ideal candidates must possess a minimum of five years' litigation experience in handling a case load of 100 or more cases (both in prelitigation and litigation), drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings and depositions, analyzing recovery opportunities for plaintiff claims, and communicating effectively with clients and opposing counsel. Ideal candidates must have taken or defended a minimum of 20 depositions as the primary attorney on the matter and must have attended a minimum of 10 mediations as the primary attorney.

A valid Massachusetts Bar license is required. Additional New England bar license(s) are a definitely a plus! Previous experience in subrogation law, products liability and plaintiff's personal injury is highly desirable. Prior trial experience is a must! An exceptional candidate will have participated in 5 or more trials, and participated in presenting openings, closing, conducting voir dire, and doing direct and cross-examinations of fact and expert witnesses.

The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $175,000, reflecting our commitment to fair and competitive compensation. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
