About This Position

JOB EMPHASIS AND PURPOSE

The Scheduler is responsible for effectively scheduling their assigned areas of production. The consider raw material, labor, and machine availability when making decisions. The Scheduler monitors current trends and communicates to the appropriate teams any potential issues. They provide lead times for delivery to customers. They drive and facilitate communication throughout the organization pertaining to their production areas.


Scheduling

Schedule Production Areas assigned to them.Provide accurate lead times both internally and externally for products and services.Maintain pre-determined FG/WIP stock levels set by Sales.Communicate customer requirements throughout the organization.Data Entry (i.e. –WIP stocks, spec updates, new parts, new equipment, etc.).Provide highest level of customer satisfaction.Offers input to Scheduling Manager of current headcount needs in Functional groups.

Systems & Inventory

Monitor inventory levels and provide Sales with information to accurately set target stock levels.Communicate any capacity concerns based on Forecast and current demand. Create and analyze data to drive decisions. Participate in the WIP Year End Inventory.Assist in the Finished Goods Year End Inventory.

Miscellaneous:

Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation / ExperienceKnowledge and skills normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.3-5 years of professional experience in management with particular experience related to relationship building and customer service – preferred. License / Credentials / Certifications

Working Hours / Environment

Office hours are 40 hours per week – currently from 7:30am to 4:30pm (Monday – Friday). May require additional hours periodically, including evenings and weekends, depending on business needs.Work is typically performed in an indoor office setting.

Personal computer, copier, fax/scanner, phone, and other typical office equipment.

Physical and Mental Demands

Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long periods of time.Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment.Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person. Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around the office environment.Ability to analyze sourcing data, benefits, and other reports and make recommendations.Additional Mental Requirements: compare, decide, direct, problem solve, analyze, instruct, interpret.FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
