About This Position
NDT Technician II

Working within our Non-destructive Testing (NDT) team, this position is responsible for calibrating testing equipment, conducting NDT, and coordinating with internal and external agencies, and maintaining documentation as required. This position requires applicants to be certified in at least one NDT discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Be abler to interpret and evaluate results with applicable codes, standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with and assist internal and external auditors, as required.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality and other disciplines to ensure work is appropriately prioritized and completed timely.
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Be able to read and interpret instructions and standard procedures, as well as follow verbal instructions.
- Kow how to reach shop orders for part numbers, lot numbers, and work instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain necessary records - work is subject to audited inspections.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience with demonstrated NDT experience.
- Previous aerospace experience with NDT certification highly recommended.
- Certified in at least one NDT discipline - required.
- NAS 410 certification preferable.
Physical Requirements:
- Requirements include frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
