About This Position
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse and support our direct embroidery production operation. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving daily vendor deliveries, sorting specific vendors, verifying accuracy, and ensuring materials flow quickly and correctly into production. This position plays a critical part in keeping orders on schedule and maintaining smooth operations between receiving and embroidery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Verification
• Receive incoming deliveries from vendors promptly and accurately.
• Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies; report any issues immediately.
• Verify quantities, item numbers, sizes, and packing lists against purchase orders.
• Ensure new garments and materials are properly identified and documented.
Inventory & Documentation
• Enter received items into the ERP system.
• Label and stage items so they can be moved to production quickly.
• Communicate with your Team Lead and Direct Supervisor regarding any issues.
Production Support
• Deliver received garments and/or materials to the appropriate production area in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with embroidery teams to prioritize items based on job deadlines.
• Help ensure new design locations are clearly communicated to production to avoid processing delays.
Warehouse Operations
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks such as restocking, staging, sorting, and occasional order picking.
• Follow all safety policies and handle materials with care.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred (but not required).
• Ability to lift and move boxes or materials (up to ~50 lbs).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for receiving entries and inventory updates.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with teammates.
• Reliability and punctuality, especially due to the importance of this shift to production flow.
