The Commercial Services Specialist sources, solicits, and supports commercial services within First Community Bank (FCB) Commercial Banking Operation (CBO) while providing a superior customer experience. Responsibilities for this position span across client service and sales, product implementation, and operational support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Service and Sales
- Effectively consult with clients and prospects to determine commercial service needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Develop sales presentations, field demonstrations, and proposals for clients and prospects.
- Attend joint sales calls with retail, business, or commercial relationship managers.
- Identify opportunities to cross sell additional banking products, Bearing Insurance, and Dominion Payroll.
- Meet and exceed team and personal commercial services production goals as determined by executive management.
2. Product Implementation
- Guide commercial clients through the onboarding process for commercial services.
- Open and service commercial deposit accounts, including document preparation and execution.
- Stay current on new products, deposit accounts, and trends within the respective market and industry. Make recommendations on FCB product offerings.
3. Operational Support
- Administer one-on-one meetings with Business Development Officer(s), Commercial Relationship Manager(s), Market Manager(s), and Regional Manager(s) of Commercial Banking
- Conduct retail branch meetings to include product knowledge, education, and training.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure superior customer experience.
- Participate in team, sales, and pipeline meetings.
- Adhere to regulatory, credit, and pricing policies and operational procedures.
4. Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes.

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and/or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Two years of experience with progressive responsibilities in small business and commercial banking or equivalent business experience
- Possess a strong understanding of Commercial Services and relationship management
- Be a self-starter with minimal management oversight
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to effectively utilize computer technology with proficiency in all software applications utilized by the FCB CBO
- Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight travel
