About This Position

Role Details
We’re seeking a temporary second‑shift Maintenance Technician who can start as soon as possible and work through the end of July. The schedule is 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Job Summary
The temporary second shift Maintenance Technician will be responsible for setting up, servicing, repairing, and enhancing production, assembly and filling machinery and equipment. This person will execute building maintenance and repair tasks while supporting the procurement and inventory management of supplies, materials, parts, tools, and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and installation tasks for mechanical components such as gears, bearings, drives, gearboxes, and timing systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation activities for electronic devices and components, encompassing servo motors, servo drives, low and high voltage AC & DC motors, sensors, PLCs, computers, computer interfaces, I/O modules, actuators, power supplies, transformers, and heating and cooling controls/systems.
  • Execute troubleshooting, repair, and installation duties related to pneumatic systems, covering compressors, logic circuits, actuators, and sensors.
  • Fabricate equipment and parts using welding and machining techniques.
  • Interpret complex schematics, blueprints, specifications, procedure manuals, and instructions.
  • Mentor and instruct others in basic machinery and equipment maintenance.
  • Report maintenance project statuses and issues to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels.
  • Leverage Redzone technology effectively to optimize equipment performance, streamline maintenance processes, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance activities to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to standardized work protocols.
  • Fulfill additional assigned duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing hand and power tools.

Skills and Proficiencies

  • Able to accept guidance and operate with autonomy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Confident decision-making ability.
  • Proficient in organization, prioritization, multitasking, and planning.
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Basic proficiency in keyboarding, computer skills, and familiarity with MS Office.
  • Adaptable to changing schedules and priorities.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Physically capable of standing and walking for the majority of an 8-hour shift, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in English language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
