Reports to the Chief Strategy/Digital Transformation Officer. As a member of Beacon's Corporate Strategy team, you will advance the vision by leading in developing and executing a planning and growth strategy for Beacon Health System. Key responsibilities include developing strategic perspectives on market dynamics, portfolio optimization and profitability improvement. You will be working to be a key leader in the strategy and execution for Beacon's service lines, entities, and retail and consumer strategies. Research the market segments for customer insights, clinical trends and market knowledge to contribute in business development activities and opportunity evaluations. Lead Innovation projects to drive new revenue and teach the skills needed throughout the organization. Evaluate market segments with advanced analytics, including macro environment trends, pricing, competitive landscape, clinical trends and business drivers in the segment to proactively identify opportunities and pressures to the existing portfolio and pipeline. Lead internal management of competitive strategic intelligence resources. Make recommendations regarding initiatives for existing products to improve profitability, clinical value and sustainability business cases and financial models to support growth efforts. This position will also be monitoring performance and working with the executive team on robust reporting for quarterly results review for continuous improvement.

Lead in the development of a system-wide strategic plan on an annual basis and tracking results:
- Keep track of the effectiveness of strategies/tactics/metrics and recommend changes when necessary.
- Responsible for Tracking Level 0 and level 1 metrics and providing executive level monthly and quarterly reports.
- Lead QRR report out at the System level.
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports on progress of tactics and metrics.
Directs a system-wide Physician Liaison outreach program by:
- Developing a business plan with System entities outlining priorities for outreach.
- Developing a reporting system to track outreach activity and results.
- Builds relationships with physicians within the community.
- Introduces new BMG physicians to other providers in the community.
- Manages the project leaders on business development projects.
- Develop a CRM to track visits and results.
Directs the business planning function for the entire System by:
- Developing templates for planning.
- Educating and assisting leadership on the business planning model.
- Manages several business development projects in the planning phase and to completion.
Conduct and analyze market research and industry trends that assist in the business planning function:
- Lead the planning process with assigned Beacon entities and business partners.
Directs the Strategic Intelligence department:
- Develop system wide strategy for strategic intelligence and deployment of that strategy.
- Ensure the use of strategic intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities by establishing best-practices and coordinating education of end-users.
- Publish quarter the market share information for both in and out patient services along with key business insights in an actionable format.
- Lead the analytical and market research functions for Beacon Health System and provide actionable insight into current market trends to drive decisions on Beacon's strategic positioning.
- Interacts with Advisory board and Sg2 for market intelligence, responsible for relationship with both vendors as well as have a strong working knowledge of data and platform capabilities.
Lead Joint Venture projects as directed:
- Manage data and ROI on Joint Venture.
- Participate as liaison/board member for assigned Joint Ventures.
Performs other functions to maintain personal competence and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department by:

- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or a related field. Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration; and five to seven years of experience in managing managed healthcare programs or working as a consultant for where experience is gained across multiple competencies, traditional health insurance, marketing and hospital/physician relations is preferred. Five to seven years of supervisory/leadership experience is required with strong financial analytics. 3-5 years of experience working directly in a strategic planning and business development function.
