Child Care Center Director

Little Scholars is seeking a dedicated, organized, and passionate Child Care Center Director to lead our program and support our team of educators. We are looking for a strong leader who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for children and families.

Position Overview:
The Director is responsible for the overall management of the center, including staff leadership, regulatory compliance, enrollment, and maintaining a positive, engaging environment for children, families, and staff.

Qualifications (Required):Must be Director-qualified through the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
Minimum of 1 years of experience in early childhood education
Previous leadership or management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of DCFS licensing standards and regulations
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the center and ensure full compliance with DCFS regulations
Lead, support, and mentor teaching staff
Maintain appropriate staffing ratios and scheduling
Build strong relationships with families and provide excellent customer service
Manage enrollment, tours, and retention efforts
Ensure a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment
Handle staff training, evaluations, and performance management
Maintain accurate records and documentation
