This role sits at the intersection of finance, systems, and engineering, focusing on building and evolving the financial infrastructure that supports large-scale global operations. You will act as a key bridge between accounting and technical teams, ensuring that financial systems are accurate, scalable, and aligned with best practices. Working within a highly collaborative platform environment, you will help shape the design of subledger processes, reconciliation flows, and accounting logic across complex systems. The position offers the opportunity to influence how financial data is structured and processed at scale, driving clarity and efficiency in global accounting operations. You will partner closely with engineers, product teams, and finance stakeholders to translate accounting requirements into robust system designs. • Act as the embedded accounting domain expert within the financial engineering and platform team, supporting day-to-day product and engineering decisions.
• Guide system design to ensure accounting principles, controls, and best practices are embedded into financial infrastructure.
• Translate complex accounting requirements into scalable system inputs across subledger and accounting lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and optimize flows for accruals, adjustments, reconciliation, and rebooking.
• Support the development lifecycle by contributing to solution design, prototyping, and validation of financial systems.
• Analyze existing accounting flows to identify core requirements and separate them from legacy system constraints.
• Help define and standardize accounting logic across integrated financial systems and tools.
• Break down complex financial and technical challenges into structured, practical, and scalable solutions.

• 5+ years of experience in operational, technical, or financial accounting within a medium to large organization.
• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, subledger processes, and accounting standards.
• Experience working closely with technical or engineering teams in system-driven environments.
• Ability to clearly translate accounting concepts into system requirements and structured workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to ambiguous challenges.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is considered an asset.
• Curiosity and willingness to develop technical understanding and collaborate in engineering-led environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across finance, product, and technical teams.
