Job Overview:
The Manager of Operations in Diagnostic Cardiology holds 24-hour accountability for quality patient care, staffing, and departmental efficiency. This leader strives to achieve an optimal patient experience in a cost-effective manner while applying evidence-based leadership and ensuring consistency with professional standards and regulatory requirements. By supervising lead technologists and diagnostic staff, the manager promotes a professional environment and models behaviors that further the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of non-invasive cardiology experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree preferred
- BLS certification
Scheduling Requirements
- FT, 40 hours
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift
Essential Functions:
- Supervises daily operations of Non-invasive Cardiology, managing staff schedules for 24/7 coverage and adjusting staffing patterns to meet departmental productivity goals.
- Oversees administrative functions including payroll, recruitment, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance to ensure fiscal and operational compliance.
- Facilitates the hiring, orientation, and professional development of staff while ensuring all regulatory credentials, licenses, and certifications (BLS/ACLS) remain current.
- Monitors and improves key performance indicators, including departmental throughput, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement metrics.
- Directs quality initiatives and maintains regulatory readiness for ICAEL and JCAHO, including supervising the recertification process.
- Promotes collaborative relationships with physicians and ancillary departments while assisting the Director with budget preparation, policy revisions, and strategic goal setting.
- Manages clinical safety by overseeing occurrence reporting and investigations, providing direct staffing support when necessary to ensure patient care standards.
