With continued growth comes opportunity, and we are currently searching for a Top-Secret SCI with polygraph-cleared Mid-Level Software Tool Engineer.
Responsibilities:
The software tool engineer is responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management are critical to a project's needs throughout the project’s lifecycle. Requirements for all projects need to be traceable to all originating sources and to final outcome of the produced product. Projects require automated solutions to effectively manage the requirements, link source documents, and architectures. Other critical areas requiring automated solutions are incident/problem management, knowledge management, defect tracking, testing, modeling architectures and designs, and lifecycle traceability. The Tools Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimum automated solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, Tools Engineers shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as other support teams are identified as part of a solution to identify, engineer and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools.
Will be an integral member of the DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI) Operations Team. Responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management. The Tools Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimum automated solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, Tools Engineers shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as other teams as part of a solution to identify, engineer, and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure and scalable DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions using Infoblox DDI.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex DDI issues
- Automate DDI workflows to improve efficiency
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams on all aspects of DDI, including IPv4 and IPv6
- Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6
- Maintain the latest Infoblox DDI features and best practices
- Must already possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph in order to be considered
- Seven (14) years’ experience as a Software engineer, system engineer, system administrator or configuration management engineer.
- Eight (8) years experience as a Tools Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited institution is required. Four (4) years of additional experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator, or configuration management experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- DOD8570-M, IAT Level 1
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Load Balancing (F5/DTC)
- Familiar with outages, latency issues, & trouble shooting
- Proven experience designing and implementing DDI solutions
- Experience with load balancing technologies
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IPv4 and IPv6
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with scripting (Perl, Python) and automation tools (Ansible) a plus
Desired:
- DNS experience with an understanding of administration of Infoblox
- Experience with Infoblox trouble tickets
- In-depth knowledge of Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)

Many factors can influence final salary including, but not limited to relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Final salary can also be influenced by a position’s geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
The salary Range for this position is: $130,000-220,000
