Job Description
Role:
We are seeking an experienced full time Assistant Teacher with an Early Childhood Education experience in one of our classrooms. This role is ideal for an educator who can work with and collaborate with a co-teacher in a classroom.
Core Duties
Assist in the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and classroom activities
Provide active supervision of children at all times
Support classroom routines including meals, toileting, diapering, rest time, and transitions
Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development
Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
Assist with daily observations, reports, and child documentation
Collaborate professionally with teaching staff and families
Attend all required trainings and staff meetings
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications
Minimum 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED required
CDA or early childhood coursework preferred
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced childcare environment
Must meet all NYC DOHMH clearance and training requirements
