Job Responsibilities

• Provide skilled support during surgical procedures in accordance with facility policies and operating room standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency and confidence in a variety of specialties, including general, pain management, orthopedics, spine, plastics, bariatrics, ENT, sports medicine, and robotics.
  
• Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning, draping, and site preparation in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments and specimens.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with surgeons, nurses, and surgical staff.
• Exhibit flexibility and confidence when adapting to new environments and surgical teams across different facilities.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality at all times.
  
• Display excellent organizational and time management skills to support multiple cases and fast-paced OR schedules.
• Bring a friendly and professional demeanor, treating patients and team members with respect and empathy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or grandfathered-in OR Tech.
• Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience; strong preference for candidates with cases in orthopedics, sports medicine, or eye procedures.
• Ability to confidently operate within various specialties, including general, pain, ortho, spine, plastics, bariatrics, ENT, sports medicine, and robotics.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work well with individuals of all ages and roles.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Demonstrates discretion, integrity, and professionalism in all clinical and facility interactions.
