Job Overview:
Company: Michigan Quality Electric
Salary/Pay Rate: $35 - $45 per hour plus Performance and earned Year-End Bonuses.
Location: Commerce Township, MI.
Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Weekends and Overtime as needed).
Project Scope: Electrical / Controls (Residential, Commercial, Industrial)
Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Journeyman Electrician License.
The Opportunity: You will spearhead a high-growth expansion as the founding lead of our new Generator Division. This role offers a unique blend of technical design and leadership, allowing you to build a specialized department from the ground up while ensuring quality installation of generator systems. You will be the primary architect of working electrical systems that provide security and power for our residential and commercial clients.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Establish the operational framework for the new Generator Division, setting standards for installation excellence and project efficiency.
Design custom, code-compliant electrical systems tailored specifically to clients backup power needs.
Consult with clients to assess power requirements and translate their technical needs into functional, high-performance generator solutions.
Supervise field teams, providing technical guidance on generator retrofits, new builds, and complex troubleshooting.
Analyze project blueprints and specifications to ensure all installations meet or exceed state and national electrical codes.
Manage the divisions administrative workflow using Microsoft Office Suite and specialized estimating tools to track project milestones.
Collaborate with the Sales and Operations departments to identify growth opportunities and refine the divisions service offerings.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Current Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical installation.
Advanced knowledge of current electrical codes, rules, and safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to design working electrical systems from conceptual client needs.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience specifically in generator installation and maintenance.
Prior experience in a leadership or division-head capacity within the electrical trade.
Familiarity with electrical estimating software and project management tools.
