The Senior Accountant manages financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance and alignment with the values of Paul B. Zimmerman Inc. This is a foundational leadership role designed for a high-potential individual committed to long-term career development and succession within the company. Some other tasks include:
- Prepare and review month-end close procedures and ensure GAAP compliance
- Maintain financial statements and insurance fixed asset schedules
- Reconcile bank and ledger accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies independently
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports for management
- Conduct financial analysis of accounts as requested, with actionable insights
- Assist in managing multi-state tax compliance
- Complete high-level assignments as requested by the Controller or CFO
- Take a lead role in preparing for annual external audits and corporate tax reporting
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field)
- 3+ years of work experience, including general ledger functions and financial statement preparation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A well-organized, self-directed team player
- Integrity and ability to uphold confidentiality
Preferred Education and Experience
- CPA designation
- 3+ years of public accounting experience
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience
