Sterile Processing at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton South is seeking a sterile processing technician. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, cleaning, decontaminating, packaging and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining equipment through daily maintenance logs and performance validation procedures. The candidate will be responsible for general housekeeping in the surgical area and assisting with all other necessary surgical tasks that may not fall within the job description. Teamwork is essential in this department and our top priority is patient care and safety. The candidate that is self-directed, has shown extreme attention to detail and has a stable work record will be given the job! Experience is preferred, but a new graduate will be considered. Call time is required for this position. After you complete a general hospital orientation, you will complete a six to eight-week unit orientation.
