About the Role:
The Lead Installer/Glazier will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation of aluminum and glass products in various commercial projects. This position requires a high level of expertise in handling aluminum and glass materials, as well as the ability to lead a team of installers to achieve project goals efficiently and safely. The Lead Installer/Glazier will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the appropriate installation methods and materials. Additionally, this role involves maintaining quality control throughout the installation process to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Ultimately, the Lead Installer/Glazier will contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality installations that enhance the aesthetic and functional value of commercial sites.
The required skills for this position include a strong understanding of glass & aluminum installation techniques, which are applied daily to ensure precise and safe installations. Leadership skills are essential as the Lead Installer/Glazier will be responsible for guiding and motivating a team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Attention to detail is crucial in interpreting blueprints and ensuring that installations meet quality standards. Problem-solving skills will be utilized to address any challenges that arise on-site, ensuring that projects stay on track.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Proven experience as a glazier or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of glass & aluminum installation techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Read a tape measure, comfort using hand and power tools, ability to lift up to 75lbs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must have a good driving record.
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and travel to work sites out of the area as needed, including out of State.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leadership roles.
- Familiarity with various types of glass & aluminum products and their applications.
- Forklift license and boom/lift scissor lift certification (or be quickly trained).
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of installers during glass & aluminum installation projects.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
- Ensure all installations are completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct site assessments to prepare for installation and address any potential challenges.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior installers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
