Senior Accountant at SPECTRUM INTERMEDIATE LLC - WP – DRAPER, Utah

As a growing company, not all processes are fully established, and we are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant with the ability to build out new processes to join our finance team and contribute to our mission of driving cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

- Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes for multiple business segments and product lines.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (note: this role does not require a tax accountant, as tax filings are outsourced).

- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.

- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvements.

- Assist in strategic financial planning and analysis to support business objectives in biotech and manufacturing.

- Develop and implement new financial processes and leverage process automation to enhance team capacity.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP.

- Experience with accounting software.

- Advanced capability in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas).

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and leadership abilities.

- Ability to be dynamic and adaptable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving processes.

Preferred

- CPA certification.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

- Experience in biotech or manufacturing industries.

- Familiarity with advanced financial modeling or data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI).

- Prior experience with ERP systems or process automation.

- Knowledge of multi-entity financial management.
