Structural Welder. Immediate hire! at ATLAS INDUSTRIAL OUTSOURCING, LLC – BAYOU LA BATRE, Alabama

We are looking for hardworking, safety oriented, reliable Structural Welders that can work on Steel New Construction, Steel repair and can perform the following tasks:

1. Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the welding procedure specification (WPS)

2. Analyze blueprints and structural drawings to layout the framework of a structure

3. Apply welding processes such as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)4.

4. Secure and fasten structural components using clamps, braces, jacks, and bolt straps

5. Carry out post-welding treatment of structures by cleaning, buffing, and polishing finished workpieces

6. Inspect and evaluate welds to ensure they are free of defect and conform to set specifications

7. Troubleshoot structures to identify and initiate repair of welding defects

8. Fit and weld metal components such as structural steel

9. Set equipment to weld in vertical, horizontal, flat or overhead positions.

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform various welding functions with precision
• Ability to consistently produce welds that meet quality and production standards
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a shipbuilding environment
• Physical agility and dexterity to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Additional technical training or certification in welding
