Line Prep Cook at MARUTA SHOTEN INC – Seattle, Washington

We are seeking a skilled Line / Prep Cook to join our team. The Line / Prep Cook will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen, ensuring high-quality meals are served to our customers. Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and storing food items
• Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to recipes
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food production
• Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Line / Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant, catering, or dietary department
• Sushi and/or Sashimi skills a plus!
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of menu planning and recipe execution - Excellent knife skills for cutting, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Team player with good communication skills to work effectively with the kitchen staff
