Position Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and strategic Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and execute full-cycle recruitment while supervising and mentoring junior recruitment staff. Integral to OPOC.uss overall business objectives, this role is responsible for driving high-impact hiring initiatives, building top talent pipelines, and elevating the candidate experience across the organization. The Director of Talent Acquisition will manage the companys relationships with outsourced recruiting/staffing agencies while also serving as a player-coach leading the day-to-day activities of the companys growing internal recruiting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Talent Strategy
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for various roles, including entry-level, mid-level, and senior positions, with a primary focus on sales-related and customer service-related roles.
Draft and publish compelling job postings and oversee job board strategy.
Use innovative sourcing methods (LinkedIn, Boolean search, on-campus recruiting, networking, referrals, etc.) to attract passive and active candidates.
Build talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
Screen candidates to ensure they possess the requisite skills/capabilities and behavioral/cultural characteristics necessary to succeed in various roles at OPOC.us.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with HR and department leads to ensure recruiting efforts are aligned with organizational goals.
Partner with hiring managers to create effective job requisitions and recruitment strategies aligned with workforce planning needs.
Advise hiring managers on market conditions, compensation trends, and selection techniques.
Provide hiring managers/interviewers with advice and tools to assist with candidate evaluation and selection.
Ensure regular communication with stakeholders and facilitate timely and effective hiring decisions.
Candidate Experience
Ensure a seamless, professional, and engaging candidate experience throughout the interview process.
Provide timely communication and feedback to candidates and hiring teams.
Evaluate processes and procedures to ensure that candidates are processed promptly, compellingly, maximizing close rates for A candidates.
Supervision & Mentorship
Lead a small but growing recruiting team.
Serve as a high-impact player-coach, demonstrating best practices when operating as an individual contributor and when managing Staff Recruiter(s).
Directly supervise the Staff Recruiter(s), including task delegation, training, and performance feedback, to ensure recruitment activities align with hiring standards and timelines.
Anticipate hiring needs within the recruiting team; attract high performers and coach them to achieve their maximum potential.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire).
Assess the impact of internal vs. outsourced recruiting resources; make suggestions to optimize access to high-caliber candidates.
Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain compliance with hiring policies, employment law, and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
5+ years of recruiting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or team lead role. Experience recruiting sales-related positions is appreciated but not required.
Demonstrated ability to supervise or mentor junior recruiting staff.
Expertise in applicant tracking systems and advanced sourcing tools.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.
Experience managing multiple open requisitions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Bachelors degree, ideally in a related field.
