Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, self-starting, and diligent Maintenance Employee / Handyman to support the day-to-day upkeep of our event venue and studio space. This full-time, hourly role is ideal for someone with strong initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a wide range of facility maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:
Typical hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Flexibility is required to accommodate the scale and scope of events, including occasional evening or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, light carpentry, drywall patching, and basic plumbing or electrical repairs.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the space to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.

  • Set up and break down event infrastructure (e.g., moving furniture, staging, temporary walls, signage).

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage and utility areas.

  • Assist with vendor access, deliveries, and general building upkeep.

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs during or around event hours.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role.

  • Working knowledge of tools, hardware, and facility systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.

  • Strong communication and time management skills.

  • Must be a self-starter with a diligent and proactive approach to responsibilities.

  • Flexibility to adjust hours based on event needs.

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Any trade specialty (e.g., electrical, carpentry, HVAC) is a strong plus.

  • OSHA certification or similar safety training.

  • Experience working in event venues or hospitality environments.

Compensation:
$30/hour, with opportunities for additional hours during high season or major events.
