The Accounting Specialist is part of the Finance & Accounting team. The Specialist contributes to the success of the company by supporting the Finance & Accounting department with day-to-day tasks involving any Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable responsibilities, working with vendors, and supporting our team members.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time hourly position (Non-exempt) at $21.00 hourly
- Our Headquarters office is located at 7630 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33138
- This role participates in our hybrid schedule
- Hybrid Schedule: Monday & Friday; 2 days working remotely. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday; 3 days working in the headquarters office
- Team member will be expected to travel locally once a week to our Distribution Center, located at 3151 NW 125th Street, Miami, FL 33167
Major Duties Include:
A/P:
- Assists the Accounts Payable team with various tasks
A/R:
- Responds to business partner inquiries submitted through our AR shared inbox
- Responsible for ensuring business partner exemption certificates are received and current
- Assists with sales tax issues and audits
- Produces invoices for 3PL, direct shipments, and additional freight charges
- Ensures invoices are uploaded correctly into business partners’ AR platform
- Manages daily AR invoice exceptions for DC shipments
- Issues and applies credit memos, adjustments and refunds
- Monitors incoming payments and ensuring they are applied correctly.
- Posts incoming payments from the bank, ACH, wires, etc. within ERP system
- Handles Monthly or quarter-accurate rebates
- Responsible for researching short payments, over payments, refunds and deductions
- Ensures the integrity of the AR ledger
- Records personal daily punches and approves accurate bi-weekly time and attendance records
- Actively participates in all one-on-one and group meetings
- Assists in other duties and projects as needed and directed
- Promotes our FOH® Culture in all interaction
Education, Experience & Computer Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related
- Minimum of 1-2+ years’ experience in accounting
- Previous experience with AR highly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
- Knowledge in Concur software highly desired
- Knowledge in ERP systems, SAP B1 highly desired

The salary/hourly range for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including, but not limited to, work experience, territory, geographical location, etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
