Overview
Responsibilities
BA in relevant field or equivalent experience 7 years’ experience at an academic or health care setting.
- Directs the operation of the Office of Learner Placement & Housing.
- This includes oversight of the operational, fiscal and personnel management of the Office of Learner Placement & Housing, specifically
- day to day financial management of the department;
- day to day management of employees, including scheduling of work, applicable HR activities and issue/conflict resolution;
- formulation of strategic direction for the department, and
- setting of priorities and conducting budget generation and reconciliation activities.
- In collaboration with the Faculty Lead for Learner Placement, oversee all activities associated with OHSU 2025 Objective 2.1: Implement an integrated system to manage learner placements in all required settings. The objective established in OHSU 2025, is continuing within the Office of Learner Placement & Housing.
- Work collaboratively with Schools and Programs to develop efficient and effective policies and procedures related to the placement of students in clinical placements
- Represent the Office of Learner Placement & Housing at applicable meetings and on committees as necessary to ensure optimal use of the systems and functions facilitated by the Office.
- Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
- Experience in strategic planning, program implementation
- Demonstrated leadership in the cooperative creation and delivery of organization-wide services
- Experience effectively supervising and developing professional staff
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- Understanding of Academic Program scheduling, course registration, rotation scheduling or other.
- Understanding of current information systems and policies and processes used in the academic mission at OHSU
