Position Details

Reports To: Gas Distribution Project Manager

Department: Gas Distribution

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reporting Location: Belleville, MI

Position Summary

Join a team supporting critical gas utility infrastructure projects across Michigan. As a Project Coordinator, you will assist Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects from start to finish.

This role is primarily administrative but offers exposure to field operations and real-world project execution. It is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow within construction operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination and administration of active projects
  • Prepare production reports, job packages, and project documentation for clients
  • Develop and maintain accurate redline drawings
  • Assist with project estimating and budget tracking
  • Maintain awareness of project manpower, equipment usage, and operational needs
  • Track and report project budgets and progress to leadership
  • Coordinate work orders, including receipt, tracking, and closeout
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills (must be a self-starter and self-motivated)
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit project sites as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, participate in random drug testing, and maintain a satisfactory driving record (MVR)
