Houseman - Centennial Plaza Gulfport in Gulfport, Mississippi at Centennial Plaza

The Houseman supports the housekeeping and property operations teams by ensuring vacation rental properties, condos, and VRBO units are properly stocked, maintained, and prepared for guest arrivals. This position assists with housekeeping operations, delivers supplies, performs light maintenance tasks, and helps maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of properties and common areas.

• Deliver and restock linens, towels, toiletries, and guest amenities to rental units.
• Assist housekeeping staff with turnover preparations and cleaning support as needed.
• Remove trash, recyclables, and discarded items from guest units and common areas.
• Inspect properties for cleanliness, safety concerns, maintenance issues, and inventory shortages.
• Report maintenance needs, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Transport laundry between properties and laundry facilities.
• Maintain housekeeping storage areas in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects, seasonal cleaning, and property refreshes.
• Set up guest amenities, welcome packages, furniture, and outdoor areas as directed.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, batteries, air filters, and smoke detector batteries.
• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, stairwells, parking areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with furniture moving and property setup for special events or guest requests.
• Respond promptly to operational requests from management and housekeeping staff.
• Follow all safety procedures and proper handling of equipment and cleaning products.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, maintenance, or property operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and light maintenance tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation if travel between multiple properties is required.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing stairs, reaching, and kneeling.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate carts, dollies, and housekeeping equipment.

• Ensure housekeeping teams have the supplies and support needed to meet turnover deadlines.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked properties and storage areas.
• Respond quickly and professionally to operational needs.
• Help ensure all properties meet company standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
