Kitchen Steward
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Steward to join our team. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of kitchen facilities, supporting our chefs and kitchen staff in delivering high-quality dining experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment - including fryers, ovens, flame broiler, and flat-top, utensils, dishes, and workstations to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, outside perimeter, and storage areas
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Ensure proper storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues within the kitchen
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
