Department: Logistics / Warehouse Operations

Location: Selma, Texas

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Warehouse Logistics Manager

Shift Type: Daytime; occasional overtime required

Pay Range: $20.50 – $26.50 per hour

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Operator Lead oversees daily warehouse operations while actively participating in shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and order fulfillment activities. This role provides front-line leadership to warehouse operators by coordinating daily workflows, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and customer service.

The Lead is responsible for supervising operator performance, supporting scheduling and shift coordination, reviewing employee time punches for accuracy, and ensuring adherence to company policies and processes. This position serves as a key liaison between warehouse staff and management to drive productivity, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Oversight:

- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control

- Monitor workflow and allocate tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of daily objectives

- Identify and escalate operational issues and implement corrective actions when needed

- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and customer requirements

Shipping & Receiving:

- Process domestic and international shipments in accordance with customer and carrier requirements

- Prepare and verify shipping labels, documentation, and required paperwork for carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight providers)

- Support receiving processes including inspection, documentation of discrepancies, and system updates

- Ensure safe and efficient loading, unloading, and material movement

Order Fulfillment & Inventory:

- Supervise picking, packaging, assembly, and shipping processes for accuracy and efficiency

- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and proper material handling

- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper stock placement

- Review order quality, completeness, and on-time shipment performance

Systems & Coordination:

- Utilize customer portals and internal systems to process orders and shipping transactions

- Work within ERP or warehouse systems to support order tracking and inventory updates

- Coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, Sales, and Logistics to resolve issues and prioritize work

- Maintain professional communication via email and other business tools

Safety & Continuous Improvement:

- Enforce all company safety policies and ensure safe operation of equipment

- Promote and model a strong safety culture within the team

- Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives

- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment

- Perform other duties and special projects assigned

Job Specifications:

Education & Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED required

- 2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience required

- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred

- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Strong leadership and team coordination skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to resolve problems and make sound decisions

- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Certifications & Licenses:

- Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain

- Valid driver’s license

Commute & Travel:

- Infrequent vehicle driving requirement

- No business travel requirement
