IT Manager
The IT Manager is a full-time, on-site position, responsible for leading and overseeing the bank’s information technology operations across multiple branch locations, ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of all technology systems that support banking services and business operations. This role installs, configures, and supports computer workstations, printers, peripheral devices, and standard software applications to ensure systems remain secure, updated, and fully operational. This role also manages network infrastructure, core banking technology, cybersecurity programs, telecommunications, disaster recovery plans, end-user support, and technology projects while maintaining compliance with banking regulations and industry standards. The IT Manager works closely with executive leadership, branch management, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders to develop and implement technology strategies that support organizational goals and protect sensitive financial data. The position is accountable for consistent IT service delivery across all locations.
- Respond to bank employee computer issues. Troubleshoot and find solutions for computer issues. Refer bank employees to the proper resource for problem resolution.
- Monitor ongoing service tickets to ensure timely resolution. Follow up on service tickets as necessary with the proper technician / supervisor. Act as liaison between the managed service provider, affected personnel, and bank management in the event of an outage, cybersecurity breach, or other incident.
- Document incidents as necessary for bank records and regulators. Compile information for annual vulnerability audits, penetration testing, risk assessments (NIST-CSF and R-SAT, annual tabletop exercise), and OCC Safety and Soundness audits.
- Coordinate with managed service provider for annual replacement of end of life / end of service computers and peripheral devices. Maintain an inventory of current workstations and their locations. Arrange for secure destruction and recycling of end-of-life computers and peripheral devices.
- Source and price replacement computer items as necessary.
- Monitor monthly cybersecurity training. Report to supervisors the employees that have training due at the end of the month.
- Review monthly user lists and recommend changes to managed service provider as needed for accuracy.
- Participate in biweekly calls with managed service providers to discuss IT operations and ways to maintain or improve them. Participate in quarterly IT Committee meetings.
- Monitor industry information-sharing platforms and threat-intelligence sources to stay current on emerging cybersecurity trends and risks.
- Follow up on remediation matrices related to audit findings.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role
- Solid understanding of core IT concepts, including operating systems, endpoint devices, and common business applications
- Experience within the Banking industry is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support employees across all organizational levels
- Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and network infrastructure
- Familiarity with internet security practices and data privacy standards
- Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Industry certifications are a plus
