The Role:
The Account Director is a highly-motivated, results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in growing key client accounts within the Australian market and being a senior point of reference. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding account management team and play a crucial role in its future development. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our most valuable Australian clients, identifying new revenue opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction whilst evolving the scope and nature of our innovative work as partners. You will be a key player in our journey, contributing directly to our growth and helping to shape the future of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth, leading the account management team to achieve a 40% increase in revenue YOY across key clients.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies for key clients across Australia.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders within Australian businesses. Identify and pursue upselling, cross-selling, and expansion opportunities to maximize revenue potential. Oversee client retention efforts, ensuring high satisfaction, renewals, and long-term partnerships. Collaborate with internal teams (production, creative, etc.) to deliver exceptional client service and campaign execution tailored to the Australian market.
- Proactively manage client expectations and ensure their needs are met within the context of the Australian media landscape.
- Monitor and analyze account performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Manage account financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen relationships within the Australian business context.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and activities in CRM.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of account management processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the account management team, fostering a high-performance culture and sharing knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record of success (5+ years) in account management and revenue generation within Australia.
- Deep understanding of the Australian digital media landscape, including influencer marketing and content creation.
- Strong existing network of contacts within the Australian media and advertising industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms within the Australian context.
