At The Brand Leader®, Discover. Real. Growth. is not just something we deliver to clients. It defines how we build careers.

Discover your potential.

Create work that shows up in the real world.

Grow your skills, your portfolio, and your leadership.

For 27 years, we have built and led national brands across industries. With strategy, creative, digital, photography, and video under one roof, we bring brands full circle from idea to execution.

About the role

We’re looking for a Content Creator who lives and breathes social media, content, and storytelling. This role bridges strategy and execution, taking ideas from concept to creation, production, optimization, and measurement. You’ll partner closely with our Social Strategist, Account Teams, and TBL Studios production team to create content that not only looks great, but drives meaningful business results.

This isn’t simply a production role. We’re looking for someone who naturally identifies opportunities, stays ahead of trends, thinks creatively, and takes ownership of growing our clients’ social presence as well as The Brand Leader’s own channels. The ideal candidate is equal parts creator, strategist, producer, and problem solver, capable of moving quickly while maintaining a high creative standard.

This role will be a full-time, salaried position and is expected to be in the office in our Greenville, SC location.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Ideation

  • Collaborate with strategists to translate business objectives into engaging, platform-native content.
  • Develop content concepts, recurring series, and creative ideas that support client goals.
  • Proactively identify trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats worth leveraging.
  • Bring fresh ideas to clients and internal teams without waiting for direction.
Content Production
  • Shoot and edit short-form video content including product, lifestyle, UGC-style, talking head, behind-the-scenes, and trend-driven formats.
  • Capture and edit photography for product, lifestyle, and brand storytelling.
  • Translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into compelling, on-brand content.
  • Know when content calls for polished production versus authentic, in-the-moment storytelling.
  • Work alongside the TBL Studios team to maximize both planned productions and spontaneous content opportunities.
Content Ownership
  • Own the content pipeline for assigned brands from strategy through final delivery.
  • Turn larger productions into weeks or months of usable social content.
  • Capture opportunistic content whenever the moment presents itself.
  • Deliver organized, on-time assets ready for publishing by account teams.
Performance & Optimization
  • Understand how content performance influences future creative decisions.
  • Regularly review engagement, reach, and content performance to identify what’s working.
  • Recommend improvements and iterate creative based on audience behavior and platform trends.
  • Continuously test new formats, hooks, editing styles, and storytelling approaches.
Internal Brand Growth
  • Help elevate The Brand Leader’s own social channels through original content, thought leadership, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and studio work.
  • Act as an ambassador for the agency’s creative culture and point of view.
What This Role Does Not Include
  • Day-to-day community management or comment moderation.
  • Influencer or ambassador management.
  • Strategy and integrated comms planning.
  • Ongoing content scheduling or publishing responsibilities.
  • Formal client reporting or analytics presentations, though performance should actively inform creative decisions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience creating high-performing video and photography content for brands.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms, trends, algorithms, and evolving content formats.
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools including Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing creatively.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Agency experience is a plus, but curiosity, initiative, and creative instinct matter more.
Success in This Role

Success isn’t measured simply by the volume of content produced. Success means:

  • Clients see you as an extension of their marketing team.
  • You consistently bring new ideas before anyone asks.
  • Every production creates a library of meaningful, usable content.
  • Creative is informed by performance, not assumptions.
  • You move quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • You help grow engagement, awareness, and business outcomes for clients.
  • You elevate both client brands and The Brand Leader through consistently exceptional storytelling.

Target Start Date: August 17

Salary Range: $65k-80k
