Dishwasher in Windham, New York at Windham Mountain Club

Work Location: In-person role based in Windham, NY.

Seasonal Position: This role is available for the winter season.

Pay: 18 per hour

Anticipated Start Dates: Weather-dependent, typically beginning in early December.

Scheduling Expectations: Part Time evening shifts on weekends and holiday are needed.

Conditions: This role is primarily performed indoors in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Position Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, removing trash, and supporting safe, efficient kitchen operations in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the dishwasher and sink areas.
• Monitor and refill soap and drying agents.
• Remove trash and replace garbage bags.
• Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils throughout shifts.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria mats, floors, and work areas.
• Store cleaned items in designated locations.
• Retrieve supplies from storage, coolers, and freezers.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment.
• Assist chefs and supervisors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
• Familiarity with kitchen tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow directions accurately.
• Food service or kitchen experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with staff and guests.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Navigate uneven terrain, including snow and ice.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
