This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX Researcher-Website E-commerce based in United States.
The UX Researcher will join an established e-commerce team supporting a large-scale software company and its digital purchasing experiences.
This role focuses on fast-paced, evaluative research that helps teams make confident product and business decisions on short timelines.
You will investigate how customers discover products, engage with website and marketing content, and progress through software purchasing journeys.
The position combines qualitative research methods with behavioral analytics to provide both customer insight and quantitative context.
You will also use AI-enabled workflows to accelerate research planning, synthesis, and reporting while maintaining strong human judgment.
Success requires strong communication, efficient research execution, and the ability to translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

- Plan and conduct quick-turn usability studies and concept tests across website, marketing, and software purchasing experiences.
- Scope incoming research requests with stakeholders and determine appropriate research approaches based on business objectives, timelines, and user needs.
- Analyze research findings and translate them into concise, actionable recommendations that can inform product, marketing, and e-commerce decisions.
- Incorporate behavioral and digital experience analytics into research planning to identify opportunities for investigation and provide quantitative context for qualitative findings.
- Use tools such as FullStory or comparable behavioral analytics platforms to understand user behavior and support research hypotheses.
- Build and apply AI-powered workflows to accelerate research planning, synthesis, analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain appropriate human oversight and judgment when using AI throughout the research process.
- Present research findings clearly and efficiently to diverse audiences, adapting communication to both research and non-research stakeholders.
- Conduct research on website discovery, engagement, conversion, and purchasing pathways to identify usability barriers and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner closely with Marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders when research initiatives involve customer acquisition, messaging, or conversion experiences.
- 5+ years of professional UX research experience, with a strong track record of delivering research in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated experience conducting quick-turn usability testing and concept testing.
- Hands-on experience with behavioral and digital experience analytics tools such as FullStory or similar platforms.
- Experience researching websites, digital commerce experiences, purchasing journeys, conversion funnels, or comparable customer experiences.
- Proven ability to implement AI workflows that improve research efficiency, including the ability to clearly explain where AI accelerates the process and where human judgment remains essential.
- Strong qualitative research skills and the ability to combine behavioral data with user feedback to develop well-supported insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex findings quickly and present them clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to scope research requests, align expectations, and deliver against short timelines.
- Preferred experience with software license e-commerce, conversion optimization, funnel research, or related digital purchasing experiences.
- Experience partnering with Marketing teams on customer research is a plus.
- Ability to work full-time, approximately 30–40 hours per week, for an initial six-month engagement.
- Availability to work during East Coast U.S. hours.
- Must be based in the United States or Canada and able to work as an independent contractor.
- Compensation of $75 per hour.
- Approximately 6-month full-time contract engagement.
